BOOK COVER : Apply principles of design to create an effective cover for your sketchbook.
Your cover must include: Title (course), Author (your name), period #. The words need to be the focal point - (must stand out) - apply principle of Emphasis to achieve this.
Placement: Apply rule of thirds.
Text: Use specific font style, use template, trace from print, cut out letters. Hand letter only if you choose to use a grafitti or informal style of lettering - see example below, "A Fork Brought Along" by Dave Eggers.
Complete 3-4 thumbnails demonstrating application of a specific design strategy in each: grid, radial, overlapping shapes, dominant shape, Layering.
Choose one and enlarge onto a paper sized to your sketchbook cover.
